Package and
Best of Everything 2005 Demo CD (Pocket
PC Magazine, Thaddeus Computing)

Rating (out of 5):

When it comes to software for the Pocket PC, there certainly isn’t a
shortage! Almost any application you can put on a desktop computer has
some pocket counterpart. Unfortunately, the market is so littered with
software it’s hard to distinguish the programs of quality. And even
worse, how you can possibly afford them all?! Enter: Pocket
PC Magazine’s Best of Everything 2005 Software Package.
Every year, judges who know pocket-sized gadgets best nominate and
crown winners in various software categories. Think of it as the
“Pocket PC Olympics”. This CD offers full registered copies of some of
those winners at an unbelievably low price. The package itself is worth
over $2400, but it’s priced at a mere $280.
But.. is it worth it? Read on to find out!
This review will cover both the Best of Everything
Software Package which - as mentioned above - contains
full versions of award-winning software. I will also review the Best
of Everything Demo CD which comes free with a 2-year
subscription to Pocket PC magazine. The Demo CD only contains demos and
freeware versions and does not include any extra stuff. The Demo CD is
only discussed in full on Part
Three
with a brief conclusion at the end of Part
Four.
Everything else refers to the actual Best of Everything
Software Package which much be purchased separately.
Part Two - The Software Programs
Part Three: The Demo CD
